Fri., June 27 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm: Music in the Park ft. Soul School!

Two of Painted Prairie’s pioneer residents, Jolynn and Sarah Crownover are veterans of the nonprofit world. They both earned degrees in Nonprofit Management and worked in the field for years. Witnessing quite a bit, they are grateful for what they have, and have developed a true sense of empathy in their quests to help others. The couple met while working at a residential youth program in Pueblo, CO, but eventually found their way to Denver. Sarah was presented with an opportunity to work with abused youth, and Jolynn —who insists she didn’t follow Sarah—made the move as well.

The Crownovers are a multi-talented couple. Sarah, who was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, earned a full-ride scholarship to CSU Pueblo to play basketball (she’s now in the University’s Athletic Hall of Fame). Jolynn was a military brat, who spent the majority of her youth in rural Colorado near Del Norte, where she developed her stellar vocal skills. She attended CSU Fort Collins on a vocal performance scholarship, and later graduated from CSU Pueblo.

Although the couple both worked in the nonprofit sector for years (Sarah still does), Jolynn made the leap to the real estate industry ten years ago (she even studied for her exam while honeymooning with Sarah!)  Sarah is currently the Chief Trust Officer at Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities, and Jolynn is all about helping people buy and sell their dream homes!

Jolynn and Sarah are raising two kids and became a family of four in what they lovingly call “a slightly unconventional way.” With the help of a close friend, they each had the chance to carry one of their children—an experience they treasure deeply. Their son Casey (7) loves hunting for toads and grasshoppers at Painted Prairie’s parks, and their daughter Codi (4) is the boss of her family. Luckily both of Jolynn’s parents are nurses, so the kids are treated to excellent medical advice, and lots of grandparent babysitting.

Because of Jolynn’s real estate connections, the couple discovered Painted Prairie when it was first introduced to the market and agreed it would be a great place to live. As their family grew, they purchased a larger home in the neighborhood and kept their first home as a rental. “We believe Painted Prairie is different from other developments in Denver because of the parks, the construction of the homes, and the people. We love being in a walkable neighborhood!”
