A quick move-in home (or QMI) is a new construction home that is either fully built or very near
completion. If you’re the right buyer, QMIs have several advantages over buying resale or
starting a new home build from the ground up.

Quick Move-In Homes Are Ready When You Are

Sometimes you need to move fast! Relocating for a job, need to be in before the kids head back
to school? Whatever the reason, a quick move-in home offers you new without the wait. There are always
homes under construction in various stages of the build process, and often homes that are
completed are just waiting for a buyer. These homes provide options that can align with your
specifics and allow you to spend most of your limited time moving in and getting settled.

Designed, Built, and Ready to Go

Speeding up the home-buying process is a significant benefit to buying a quick move in home, vastly
reducing the time frame between closing on a purchase and moving in. You won’t be held up
waiting for prior owners to move out, nor will you endure an entire new construction cycle. The
time and stress spent selecting finishes and fixtures is virtually eliminated. Most, if not all, design
decisions have been made by a builder’s talented interior designer—with quality finishes and
on-trend fixtures. All you have to do is move in and enjoy them.

No Bidding Wars, Just Upfront Pricing

Step away from the bidding wars and into a QMI home that has set pricing! Builders often offer
additional incentives as well, such as a rate buy-down with their preferred lender, or a price
reduction that makes these QMI purchases even more appealing.

Move-In Ready with All the Upgrades

Quick move in homes are equipped with state-of-the-art and energy-efficient appliances (leading to lower utility bills), stylish and modern finishes and fixtures, and in some cases, landscaping. Many of
these inclusions come with warranties, allowing you to settle in with peace of mind.

Considering a QMI home purchase is a smart and seamless way to approach a new home
search with a stress-free, cost-effective, and timely move-in experience. Painted Prairie
currently has dozens of QMI homes listed. Feel free to contact any of our world-class builders
for details on any special incentives currently available.

On March 4, Painted Prairie was featured in a Denver Post Real Estate section article regarding the migration of Denver Metro residents from the city to the suburbs for reasons such as affordability, the desire for more space, quiet surroundings, safety and parks. A number of Painted Prairie residents were interviewed and shared their perspectives on why this community has been such a great choice for them.

“We have bald eagles that live near the community. We all get excited when we see them. Nature is just a big part of our family life. We’re outdoor people. We try to keep our kids off screens. There are beautiful little trails around here.” – Allie Wellner

“The greenspace, shared space, big views, and farmer markets… We go to the park every single day. There’s a swing set. We walk our dog. We have three parks within a one-block radius.” – Charlee Gatan

“The way that Painted Prairie is designed, it draws people outside to the parks and shared spaces. When we first moved in 2020, we ended up getting to know our neighbors so much more quickly. It was like the first year in college where everybody was new and wanted to get to know each other.” -Jolynn Crownover

Tri Pointe Homes hosted Bobby Berk, well-known interior designer, in their one-of-a-kind Greenwood Village design studio for a Happy Hour on Thursday, March 20th. Dozens of guests mixed and mingled, enjoyed light bites and sips, and viewed examples of Bobby Berk’s collaboration with Tri Pointe Homes.

This visit to Denver was in conjunction with Bobby Berk’s exclusive partnership with the homebuilder, which includes a series of 10 unique collections, called “The BB Edit,” and was designed exclusively for Tri Pointe Homes. The design tool brings together all the elements that go into creating a distinct home style, down to every detail. While in Denver, Bobby also visited Tri Pointe’s new model at Painted Prairie, which showcases this new collaboration.

Potential home buyers can take a “Style Quiz” that asks questions about a person’s style preferences, lifestyle activities, and favorite color palette and materials. Once they’ve received the quiz results, they can dive into the excitement of exploring the Berk-created collections with a virtual tour tool, where they can glide through each room effortlessly, feeling the space come alive around them. They can also discover hand selected design finishes by Bobby, including accent tile details, cabinet selections, and even furniture.

The BB Edit includes the following 10 style collections:

The Bobby Burke x Tri Pointe Homes website also offers “Behind the Design” videos in which Burke explains each style collection and offers materials, lighting and decor ideas that fall within each realm.

There’s been an emerging trend of couples choosing to focus on careers and lifestyle, while opting out of having kids. DINKS, or (Dual Income, No Kids) have become a growing home-buying segment to watch.

According to the Brookings Institute, the cost estimates to raise a child from birth to age 17 is approximately $310,605. This data is based on 2020 inflation-adjusted figures from a report published by the USDA in 2015. DINKS choose to allocate their disposable income in a different way, so they have the freedom and independence to build their career, pursue personal passions, travel at will, and often purchase a home.

In a recent survey with just more than 1,000 Gen Zers, (conducted by RubyHome), the study found that more than 27% of those surveyed have chosen to remain childless. The reasons behind this decision include the following preferences:

Homeownership itself aligns with DINKS #1 priority of living a financially comfortable life. In fact, more than 87% of those surveyed expressed the desire to own a home. The equity built through a home purchase often serves as the first stepping stone for building long-term wealth. Additionally, the tax deductions of home ownership free up even more disposable income to spend on travel, hobbies or other interests.

In addition to the enjoyment of their freedom and independence, DINKS also have greater disposable income and flexibility to move for a career or desired location change without disrupting children’s lives. A job-change move to another market is completely feasible without the concern of uprooting a family from school, activities or friendships. They have the flexible luxury of basing their buying decision on proximity to work, the airport, friends, or any personal activities they may enjoy.

When searching for a home, DINKS are seeking features that align with their strong desire to  “maintain positive mental health.” Open spaces that spill out to patios for entertaining, bonus rooms for in-home fitness, work-from-home spaces, visiting guests or storage, and amenities that cater to their “fur babies” are among the few most sought-after features. They want to enjoy life and make their home functional for the way they want to live it.

With nine builders, 13 product lines and 75+ floorplans, Painted Prairie’s new homes offer DINKS incredible options to find the right home for their lifestyle and customize their use of space — not to mention 10+ parks (including a new dog park) and acres of open space scattered throughout the neighborhood for strolls, relaxation and relieving stress.
