Painted Prairie’s annual event series has played a significant role in fostering and establishing these strong connections. The events have provided consistent opportunities for residents and the community at large to gather, experience Painted Prairie’s expansive open spaces and parks, engage in meaningful, free activities, and create memories that last a lifetime!
This year’s series welcomes back some fan favorites and introduces some exciting new activities. On the schedule are Movies in the Park, Music in the Park, Open Air Markets, and last but not least — the always popular Prairie Harvest Fest (October 25, 2025). And, new to 2025 — don’t miss the Aurora Borealis Festival, which will be held October 10-11, 2025 at Painted Prairie’s High Prairie Park. A weekend of wonder from a stunning recreation of the northern lights, to interactive lighting installations, a global gift bazaar, and flavors of Aurora Food Court, this unforgettable event is unlike any other in Colorado.
