Is exploring the winter sights and sounds of Colorado on your New Year’s resolutions list? If so, we have a great lineup of snow-packed (and heated, indoor) activities that are sure to get your adventurous spirit up and going this month.

Catch Dali Alive at the Stanley Marketplace

Dalí Alive – Stanley Marketplace – January 19-29, 2023

Visit Aurora describes the exhibit as “Showcasing both Dalí’s challenges and triumphs, the breathtaking production dynamically animates the works of the incomparable artist, providing visitors with the sensation of stepping into the life of Salvador Dalí himself and feeling the redemptive power of his imagination. Displayed over 13,000 square feet, including full coverage, multi-sensory projection gallery featuring spatial audio technology, DALÍ ALIVE explores how the artist continually reinvented himself – his place, his person, his family, and his very human transience – to overcome obstacles.”

While you’re there, be sure to check out the local restaurants and retail options at the Stanley Marketplace. It’s a great place to spend a snowy day in January!
The Stanley Marketplace is located at 2501 Dallas Street, Aurora 80010. For more information about the exhibit, email: info@stanleymarketplace.

The thrills and chills at the Winter X Games never disappoint.

Winter X Games – Aspen – January 27-29, 2023

Want to get away? Then head over to Aspen and check out the Winter X Games. Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships – Breckenridge – January 23 – February 1, 2023

Building sandcastles is one thing, but carving a 20-ton block of snow with nothing but hand tools? We’ll leave that up to the talented artists from around the world that compete each year at the Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships. This free event is open to the public, and locals say the best time to go is at night when the sculptures are lit up with multiple lights to accentuate the fine lines and details that make these true works of art. It’s a great day trip, or overnighter if you want to explore the rest of Breckenridge a bit more. To plan your trip, visit the Go Breck website.

We hope this has inspired you to check out what Colorado winters have to offer. Your resolutions are waiting!

Resident Testimonials

Once we heard of Painted Prairie in 2021, we were hooked! We loved the diversity of the community, the open space, and everything else it has to offer. Our house has very rapidly turned into a home. We actually met some of our closest friends at a Painted Prairie event.

Painted Prairie has become a place that feels like home for my family because of the strong sense of community and the diverse and inclusive atmosphere. It’s a place where we can connect with neighbors, support local businesses, and truly feel like we belong. The shared values of unity, diversity, and sustainability in the community align with what our family holds dear. It’s a place where children can thrive, and we can contribute positively to the community.

Being an active community while bringing us together on the different events throughout the year. We have been fortunate to enjoy the farmers markets, the neighborhood BBQ, the pancake breakfast, the family painting class, movies at the park and the Fall Festival! Our son and dog also love all the parks!
